For just bunches: we wrap everything in newspaper and then place them in a good cardboard box. The biggest trick is to make sure the box is packed with enough waded
up newspaper so that the bunches do not shift while in transit. Movement within the box is what will cause damage. I always say, "have the box so when you close
it you want to just smash them a touch".
Hope this makes sense.

I'd like to send a bouquet of dried roses to my
daughter. I read that you wrap it in newspaper,
etc., but what if the box (even if it's sturdy)
gets thrown around a lot and hit by something?
Sometimes things can really get wrecked in the
mail. Recently I received a box that actually had
a hole in the side where it had been hit. Just
wondering. (Is UPS or Fed Ex safer?)

Boxes will most definitely be thrown around and hit so, it is very important to have the box stuffed with wadded up newspaper which will prevent the florals from
shifting.
Concerning UPS vs. FedEx
We do not ship FedEx, only UPS. I would imagine that FedEx is probably a 'safer' bet. However, I should add that we rarely have damage with UPS, maybe one or two
a year and we ship many, many boxes.
Good Luck,
