Subject:
Fungus growth during processing of dry flowers
IP: Logged
Message:
While processing ( drying after dyeing etc.), especially in monsoon season, there is growth of fungus(mildew). Please let us know how this can be prevented and how
we can recover the affected flowers.

I don't know if there is any way to recover
mildewed flowers. But you might try using a
dehumidifier in the room where you are drying
the dyed flowers, to get rid of some of the
excess humidity. Maybe that would work.

A couple suggestions on drying after dyeing:
Use small 'open' bunches (i.e. do not pack your bunches real dense).
When you hang them, give them ample space between bunches and between the rows of bunches.
Make sure you have real good airflow.
In some cases, with steadfast dyes, you can actually put them in the sun for a short period of time to aid in drying.
With regard to recovery:
If you have to, dip in bleach, dry, then re-dye.
I hope this helps,
