I have been growing and drying flowers for years. I dry them in my garage, but have a terrible problem with mice because the garage isn't rodent proof. Would the
use of moth balls deter the mice?

Generally, mothballs work in confined spaces (e.g. a couple in a box that is storing drieds). I would bait and keep the mice out of the garage ... they can do
more damage then just to drieds.
Good luck.

I have bate all along the outside walls, but I think they treat it like gourmet food. Do you know if those sound devices are effective as deterents?

Not sure if they work, they sure do advertise though don't they?
With regard to bait. Always apply bait in the late fall when it starts getting cold. Never use the same bait twice ... they can get use to it. We have used Pounce,
Tom Cat and others. I think the best source is a farm supply which will sell more of an assortment.
Good luck.
