Golden Rain Tree (Koelreuteria paniculata) is a tree that can reach 30 feet. Also called China-tree and Varnish-tree. They do well on a variety of soils but seem
better suited to open sunshine that to shade. Apparently, it is pretty common in the South Central States. If in the north, you must protect it as it can be killed
back by severe cold spells (like this year!).
